1st Mentoring, Coaching and Exposure Visit (MCEV)
Six Cambodian development workers, Chhoun Borith, Khun Borin, Kit Touch, Mao Pousuphy, Prak Sarann and San Chey, participate in a mentoring and coaching visit (MCEV) to the Philippines on 3- 10 October 2008 organized by the Ateneo School of Government of the Ateneo de Manila University. The MCEV is a component of the World Bank's Program to Enhance Capacity in Social Accountability (PECSA).
The MCEV has 4 objectives:
1) Deepen the participants' know-how in selected field of study
2) Provide guide in crafting a sound and feasible project
3) Provide on-the-ground experience on tested social accountability practices from the Philippines
4) Facilitate reflection ont he applicability of social accountability practicesSocial Accountability refers to actions initiated by citizen groups to hold public officials, politicians, and service providers to account for their conduct and performance in terms of delivering services, improving peoples welfare and protecting peoples' rights.

2nd Social Accountability School in Cambodia
Leaders representing civil society organizations (CSOs) and government agencies from all over the country came together at the nation's capital for a two-week training program on social accountability on 17 - 28 November 2008 at the World Vision Center in Phnom Penh. SAS 2 was organized jointly by SILAKA of Cambodia, the Society for Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) of India, and the Ateneo School of Government (ASOG) of the Philippines, with support from the World Bank's Program to Enhance Capacity in Social Accountability (PECSA).

Kendari Social Accountability Forum
The Affiliated Network for Social Accountability in East Asia and the Pacific (ANSA EAP) recently conducted a round table discussion on social accountability among civil society groups operating in and around Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. The forum was held last 18 September 2009 and was jointly organized with the Yayasan Cinta Alam (YASCITA) and the East Indonesia Forum (EIF). Representatives from thirteen (13) organizations attended the half-day activity, including Kendari TV, Swara Alam Radio, Aliansi Jurnalis Independen (AJI), Walhi, Jauh, and KPI-Sultra.

Monitoring Workshop for Cambodian Scouts
The Khmer Institute for National Development (KIND), in cooperation with the National Association of Cambodian Scouts (NACS) and with support from ANSA-EAP, organized a 2-day workshop on monitoring school facilities for Scouts on 14 -15 March 2009 at the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh. 32 boy scouts and 24 girl scouts from high schools in Kandal Province and Phnom Penh joined the training.
