Piloting Participatory Audit in the Philippines: Constructive Engagement between the CCAGG and COA

The Concerned Citizens of Abra for Good Government (CCAGG) and the Commission on Audit (COA) of the Philippines partnered in a program entitled, Enhancing the Public Accountability Program of the Philippines funded by the United Nations Development Fund (UNDP).

The program called for civil society organizations (CSO's) to participate in the audit process to ensure its credibility and transparency.  The CCAGG participated in the audit of 32 projects engaging with other stakeholders in the course of  program.

The program was judged a success and hailed as a tool to enforce accountability and enocurage people's participation.
